Magnetic resonance wireless charging: Leading a new revolution in AGV/AMR vehicles

Time:2025-08-11 17:43:00 Click:

Under the wave of Industry 4.0, AGV/AMR carts, as key equipment for intelligent logistics and automated production, the development of their charging methods is profoundly influencing the future direction of the industry. The traditional charging methods have many limitations. The emergence of magnetic resonance wireless charging technology is like a ray of hope, bringing new possibilities for the efficient operation of AGV/AMR vehicles.

Magnetic resonance wireless charging technology, a further innovation based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. It achieves wireless transmission of electrical energy by setting resonant coils at the transmitting end and the receiving end respectively. When an alternating current is passed through the coil at the transmitting end, an alternating magnetic field is generated. The coil at the receiving end generates an induced electromotive force in this alternating magnetic field. This technology is different from traditional electromagnetic induction charging. It takes advantage of the characteristics of magnetic resonance, causing the transmitting and receiving ends to resonate at a specific frequency, which greatly improves the efficiency and distance of energy transmission.

Compared with traditional charging methods, magnetic resonance wireless charging technology has significant advantages. In terms of charging efficiency, traditional charging methods often struggle to improve their efficiency due to issues such as insertion and extraction losses and contact resistance. Magnetic resonance wireless charging technology effectively reduces energy loss and significantly improves charging efficiency by optimizing the resonant circuit and coil design. This means that AGV/AMR carts can be fully charged in a shorter time, significantly reducing the charging waiting time and improving the utilization efficiency of the equipment.

In terms of transmission distance, traditional electromagnetic induction charging requires close contact between the transmitting end and the receiving end, while magnetic resonance wireless charging technology can achieve non-contact charging within several centimeters or even tens of centimeters. This feature enables AGV/AMR carts to charge without precisely aligning with the charging interface, allowing for dynamic charging even during operation, significantly enhancing the flexibility and adaptability of the equipment.

Anti-interference capability is also a major highlight of magnetic resonance wireless charging technology. In complex industrial environments, there are various electromagnetic interference sources. Traditional charging methods are easily affected by these interferences, resulting in unstable charging or even no charging at all. Magnetic resonance wireless charging technology, by adopting special resonant frequencies and filter circuits, can effectively resist external electromagnetic interference and ensure the stability and reliability of charging.

In recent years, magnetic resonance wireless charging technology has achieved a series of the latest breakthroughs in improving charging efficiency, transmission distance and anti-interference ability. By constantly optimizing the material and structure of the coil, researchers have further enhanced the energy transmission efficiency. By adopting advanced control algorithms, intelligent management of the charging process has been achieved, enhancing the stability and safety of charging.

In practical applications, magnetic resonance wireless charging technology has been successfully applied in numerous AGV/AMR vehicle projects. For instance, a large electronic manufacturing enterprise has introduced AGV carts equipped with magnetic resonance wireless charging technology, achieving automatic material handling and storage. These AGV carts can be wirelessly charged at any time during operation without human intervention, which greatly improves logistics efficiency and reduces labor costs. Meanwhile, due to the stable and reliable charging process, the failure rate of the equipment is reduced, and the continuity and stability of production are enhanced.
